Symphony of Autumn Colours

Today I want to take you for a beautiful walk, take a deep breath and come along to enjoy a "Symphony of Autumn Colours"..........

Hello...........

Welcome to a prodigious stroll on a glorious autumn day.

Take in all the magnificent colours surrounding you. Let your eyes wander over all the brilliant colours autumn has to offer.....red, yellow, golden brown, green, orange.....

Breathe in the clear, crisp freshness of the air as you wander slowly between the trees, stopping to admire the aureate colours contrasting splendidly against the bright, azure sky.

Ramble along the leaf-covered pathway, kicking the fallen leaves as you go. Let your mind wander, forget about all the stress and problems of everyday life.

Behold through the imposing trees, ablaze with colour, just how impressive life can be. There's nothing dull about life while God sends us such spectacular colours.

Open your eyes as wide as possible.......
Open your heart as wide as it will go........

The mirrored reflection of the striking trees painted on the surface of the calm, stagnant lake is a vision of delight.

The peaceful aura of the elegant, aristocratic swans gliding along sets a scene of pure harmony.

Let your heart and soul float along with them.Switch off your mind and re-energize your body and soul through the pure tranquillity, the placidity amidst this impressive scenery.

Allow the commanding colours of Nature to sink deep down inside of you, to reach your very core.

Soak in the brilliance and radiance like a canvas ready to absorb all the spectacular colours of the paintbox, to become an amazingly beautiful painting, beyond belief.

Intercept the formidable rays of sunlight beaming through the branches of the tall, erect trees.

Let the gleaming rays shine all the way to your unconcealed, amenable heart, filling it with the warmth and love of God.

Deeply inhale all the scents and fragrances that autumn has to offer....Freshly cut grass...Autumn foliage...The cool nip in the dewy air announcing that winters not too far away........

Engross yourself totally, let all your senses sour to wherever they want to go, to unknown, undiscovered territories.

Listen attentively to the last exquisite melodies brought to our ears by the sweet-sounding birds.

Stroll along at a leisurely pace and take delight in all that Mother Nature has to offer us.

Let the "Symphony of Autumn Colours" flow through your body sending ripples along the "River of glowing bliss"........

Thanks for coming along.....If you'd like to read more about autumn, check out "Autumn Beauty" on "My Poems" blog........ Take care.......

Munich's 175th Octoberfest

Today I'd like to take you along to the Munich Octoberfest.

The biggest folk festival, beer festival in the world.

This spectacular event draws crowds from all
over the world.

They all come with the same intention: To have
a great time.......

This year, Munich celebrated it's 175th Octoberfest
http://www.oktoberfest.de/

Most of the visitors come from Italy, driving to
Munich in campers in their thousands...it's a
common sight to see their campers parked all
over Munich during the festival. We get numerous
visitors from Australia, UK, USA & Ireland too.

The whole park is built anew every year
and dismantled at the end of the two weeks.
Stored away for the following year. It costs
millions to do this every year.....

It's a common sight during the festival to see
horse-drawn barrels of beer being transported
to and from the grounds. The horses are affectionately
decorated in the Bavarian colours of blue & white.

One of the main attractions is the 5-loops-roller coaster.
This year a small mishap occurred, one of the carriages suddenly
stopped in the middle of the ride, leaving the passengers stranded
at a frightening height. Luckily no-one was injured during the
rescue operation.....

It has 14 enormous tents. The largest tent seats 8,450 inside and 2,450 outside
so you can just imagine how vast and gigantic they are. The other tents seat
an average of 8,000 each. (They're called tents but are really huge, wooden
constructions, built every year and taken apart again at the end of the festival).

Each tent is beautifully decorated, adorned in its own style.
Each of the tents has its own design. They all serve beer from
different breweries. Each beer having its own unique taste.

It's just 16 days of partying with locals and visitors from all over the world.
There's no better place to meet new people. It's very easy to start up a
conversation with strangers in this atmosphere.

The main consumption is of course beer which is served in huge 1 litre glass mugs.
There is also one wine tent for those who prefer to drink wine. But lets admit it,
when you go to the Octoberfest you have to drink BEER.......And grilled chicken
is the most popular and most sold meal.

It's very popular among the locals to wear the traditional Bavarian outfit when
visiting the festival, they wouldn't dream of wearing anything else. The men in
their leather pants and Bavarian or checked shirt and the women and girls in their
'Dirndl'.

This year more than 6 million visitors came along and 6.6 million
litres of beer were sold during the two weeks. It seems to be
getting busier and more popular every year. It's almost impossible
to get into one of the many tents after 12 noon at the weekend due
to congestion.

You get a fantastic view from the top of the "Big Wheel". On a clear day you
can see the spectacular mountain panorama.....

A grandiose funfair with everything imaginable is built around the
tents for whoever fancies the thrill of an amazing roller coaster in
looping style or the horror of a scary ghost train. Whatever you feel
like doing, you'll find it at the Octoberfest or as the locals call it the
"Wiesn". But most of all, you'll meet other people from all over the
world, all in high spirits ready to have a "bombastic time".

If you ever get the chance, come along and join in the awesome enjoyment............

"Goodbye"........Until next year........
